Family Camp out

Over Memorial weekend my family got together for a camp out up Springville canyon. I love camping. It seems as though no matter where my kids are or live, they love to be outside and in the dirt. The camp sight was by a small stream that 18 of the grand kids were continually in. McCray would play with Kelton and Quin for hours in the water. Tanner was able to just hang out with Logan and Stratton for a couple of days, and was even caught lots of times hanging out with his girl cousins. All of them have such a bond, I hope they will always be more than just cousins. I love being with my family. We share so much laughter and fun. It's a good thing we all grew up! I don't think they will ever know the amount of support they are for me.
I didn't actually camp out this year, I just day camped! I wasn't tough enough to sleep in a tent with a ten month old baby still waking up at night wanting a bottle. I missed the mountain nights though; how dark it gets, the camp fire, crisp early mornings, stars... Down here in St. George, you can't walk out on your back porch and see stars. You really need to be out of town for that. I grew up out of the Spanish Fork city limits and saw the night sky all the time. Sleeping out on the trampoline and finding the big dipper was a regular thing in the summer. I remember how the starry sky would make me feel so small. It still does. I miss seeing all of those stars. It's an awesome thing to spend some time out in God's green Earth.

Hi Julie! I don't know if you saw my message on my blog after you commented on it. I am so glad to see you have started one of your own. I love seeing updates of people! You have an adorable family. And by the way, I miss seeing the stars, too...and in my case, the mountains, as well.
