Single Men Go Betty Crocker

Scoot and I had a little Christmas dinner with his family. This is only our second year of doing it but, I think we will do it every year. I don't know how many times you have to do it to make it a "tradition", but that's what I'm calling it. This year we were a little fewer in numbers because Lindsey, Trevor, and Tanner weren't with us, but we made the best of it and had a good time.
In my planning for this dinner, I made food assignments for everyone. Scoot and I did the ham, cheesy potatoes, and an apple cranberry salad. Scoot's mom did the dessert. It was a very delicious fruit pizza. For the two single men I gave the two easiest because I thought they could just pick them up at the store, which would have been great. Steve had a green salad, and Bronc had the dinner rolls. To my delightful surprise these two single men went Betty Crocker on me. Steve had put together a great salad that had presentation! His veg's were all in separate piles on to,and the cucumbers were dices and peeled. He brought with him a variety of salad dressing that wasn't just ranch and 1000 island. One was a poppy seed dressing, among others, that was so good. Bronc had cooked the dinner rolls himself, and put butter on the top of them when they came out of the oven! He had lots of them too. These two took this assignment seriously! I was so impressed with them. Way to go boys! I have to put in a little side note about Scoot too. He said the prayer before dinner. It was sincere, thoughtful, and humble. I am so grateful to him for doing it. It was such a perfect way to start off our family night and enjoy the Christmas spirit.

Single men that know how and are willing to cook? They shouldn't be single for long if word gets out.
