He's 4!

McCray has been looking forward to turning four for a while now. At one point he just wanted to skip four and be five. When the answer was always, "You have to be four before you can be five", he just said, "So, when I'm done fouring can I be five?" It starts so young, wanting to be older and then stops so quickly when you're about 29.
There was something magical about turning four for McCray. Suddenly, overnight, he was as big as his four year old buddies. He was a big boy now. He could perform great tasks, like when I found him making his bed by himself. When I told him "Wow, you did that by yourself?" His response was "Yep, cause I'm four now". When I want to help him brush his teeth he has told me that four year olds don't need help. I have to say that I'm a little glad to be out of the three's. The three's are so full of pushing boundaries, testing new words, and trying on different attitudes. I know this comes with every age, I just think it's bad at three...and thirteen.
I'm excited to see what his "four" year brings.

Cray has discovered Lego's this year. I think they are great for kids, for thier minds to figure out how to build something. I just have to remind myself of this every time I pick up another one off the floor.

Where was Dessie in all of this Lego birthday party? Trying on shoes! She's such a girl.
