Better Late Then Never... Right?

I have always loved Christmas morning, especially with children. What's not to love? This year Scoot and I didn't have all the kids. Lindsey and Trevor were with their mom and Tanner was with his dad. We did have the two little's though. We spent Christmas Eve and morning at mom and dad's house along with Cristi, Bree, Maci, Brad and Alison. The more the merrier I always think.
This Christmas Tanner started asking for a gun in about September. It was at least an every other day, three times a day, question. It happened so much, I could almost predict when the words were going to come out of his mouth. First there was a little twinkle in his eye, then there was a large grin, and finally his hands would come together as if he was going to pray. It all worked. He got one. Ryan and Denise went in on it to, and since I don't know anything about guns, Ryan picked it out and had it for him on Christmas morning. Easy, Easy!
McCray was sold by advertisement on what he was suppose to want. He saw some commercials about transformers and Christmas and that was all he knew.
We didn't know what to get for Trevor until about the 23rd of December. He wasn't any help either! As kids get older, they get harder to buy for and more expensive.
Lindsey was planned before Thanksgiving. She was easy. Her mother did it all! All we had to do was split the cost.
We were very blessed this year and have been in the past. Scoot shill had, and has, his job in this very scary and unpredictable economy. There were a lot of families this year that were a lot less fortunate than we were.

Christmas gifts:
Dessie- Not much! A baby that she loves and snuggles, a pull toy, and lots of wrapping paper and a few bows.
McCray- A 4wheeler, Star Wars Clone Wars guys, and boots and guns. What more could a little boy need?
Tanner- A 204 that he slept with until I told his to stop, amo, and all the camo he needs to disappear.
Trevor- ipod, some accessories, and itunes gift cards. I hope he still has his hearing the next time we see him.
Lindsey- Laptop computer with a bag

It was a great Christmas day spent with excitement, happiness, and family.
